Social Innovation

“Often, people mistake “innovation” for being synonymous with “technology.” Innovation goes beyond science and engineering – it’s the process of translating new ideas into tangible societal impact. Just as importantly, most agree that innovation is critical to economic competitiveness, as well as to the well-being and improved quality of life for people worldwide. In this way, the nonprofits participating have shown tremendous creativity and pragmatism to affect societal change.”

- Krisztina “Z” Holly,
USC Vice Provost for Innovation and Executive Director for the USC Stevens Institute for Innovation
