Project:Possibility aims to make all technology accessible to persons with disabilities, unlocking the power of the computer and the Internet to them. We accomplish this by partnering experienced computer programmers from the industry with teams of dedicated university students and pitting them against one another in a coding competition. Their goal is to create groundbreaking new software that the world has never seen before that will benefit the disabled community.
The software that is created through this project is open source – made available in entirety to the world, free of charge. Whether we're creating a Word Predictor that archived all of Wikipedia to helping a person with muscular dystrophy type or a Community Captioner to make YouTube accessible to a person who is deaf, we're well on our way to making universal accessibility attainable and we hope you'll join us in this mission!
We are looking for financial support to build the infrastructure for the Online Community, a central location online where all of our software programs will be located, allowing software developers and members of the disabled community all over the world to create ground-breaking new assistive technology.
